City Think Lab 2012
Holland has a long tradition in innovative thinking about the city. With City Think Lab, Inspiring Cities and Pakhuis de Zwijger are adding a new chapter to this tradition. In 10 monthly sessions with a every time a new theme we discuss, model and think of new scenarios for the future of cities in 2024.
CityThinkLab is a place of experiment, initiated by Inspiring Cities and Pakhuis de Zwijger (Amsterdam). It is a think- and do-lab for the city for the influence of new technologies and trends in the ever growing network of megapolises on our day-to-day city.
What will our cities look like 12 years from now? New technologies will change the urban process. What will, for instance, be the future of passenger air transport? How will the internet influence social networks in our cities? How will these and many other new technologies change the way we use the city? The CityThinkLab 2024 brings together many disciplines in an unorthodox way. The aim: to develop new development scenarios.
